CRYSTAL ACADEMY: AERIAL ARTS AND DANCE CIC Est. 2016
All staff have experience working with and supporting neurodiverse children - however, we are not an SEN centre - please consider this before signing your child up and feel free to discuss anything with us prior to your child attending.
While we aim to remain as inclusive as possible - we cannot always staff for additional and complex needs requiring more support in busy classes.
Our curriculum is built on Acrotrix and the Youth Strength & Conditioning Specialist frameworks, supporting safe, age-appropriate progression to help children develop strength, control, and confidence. Our classes are intentionally structured and challenging, which suits many families - though we understand that different approaches work for different children - this is why your first class is free.
Foundations: this is the class where you will see our competition team members enrolled focused on developing themselves for their team and as an individual. Classes are differentiated, ensuring all levels of dancer can participate and benefit.
Theatre: this is non-competitive and we open this up to members wishing to perform with us twice a year. All of our shows and productions are licenced.
Invite Only: these classes require more form an ability and commitment perspective and are only offered to our longer serving and more experienced members.
Footwear: Jazz shoes, Ballet shoes, Street shoes are a necessity for these types of classes - all others are barefoot or grip socks. Please message us for suggested purchases.
While we take every precaution to ensure safety, injuries can and do happen, particularly in higher-risk disciplines such as Acrobatics and Aerial Hoop. These activities are physically demanding and require strength, resilience, and commitment. They are not for the faint-hearted - progress takes hard work, perseverance, and a strong mindset. Please consider this before signing up to classes.
