Our Direct Debit Membership covers 37 weeks of scheduled classes per Academy year, running from September to August. The total annual cost of these 37 weeks is divided into 12 equal monthly Direct Debit payments to make budgeting easier for families.

Monthly Direct Debit payments should therefore not be interpreted as payment for the classes taking place within that particular calendar month. Payments continue throughout the year, including during scheduled Academy closures, because the cost of all planned closures, including school holidays and Bank Holidays, has already been excluded when calculating the annual 37-week membership fee.

Our Academy year runs from September to August and broadly follows the school calendar.

Crystal Academy reserves the right to adjust individual term dates where operationally necessary, provided the overall membership continues to provide the contracted 37 weeks of scheduled tuition. For example, we may finish a term one week earlier and recommence classes one week earlier at another point in the Academy year.

Scheduled Academy holidays and Bank Holiday closures do not entitle members to refunds or reductions in their Direct Debit, as members are not charged for these weeks within the annual calculation.

Membership fees reserve your child's place within their chosen class or classes.

No refunds, credits or reductions are provided where a student does not attend a scheduled class due to personal absence, holidays, illness or other circumstances outside Crystal Academy's control.

If Crystal Academy has to cancel a scheduled class, we will aim to provide a suitable replacement or rescheduled session wherever reasonably possible.

Where Crystal Academy cancels a class that forms part of the 37 weeks of paid tuition and we are unable to provide a reasonable replacement session, an appropriate credit or refund for the affected class will be provided.

Direct Debit memberships require 30 days' notice of cancellation.

Membership fees remain payable during the notice period, and membership will continue until the applicable cancellation date.  

Stopping attendance does not automatically cancel your membership. If you stop attending classes without providing the required 30 days' notice, your membership will remain active and scheduled Direct Debit payments may continue to be collected.

Payments correctly collected in accordance with your active membership and notice period will not normally be eligible for refund simply because your child has stopped attending.

To prevent further payments after your notice period, please ensure that Crystal Academy is notified directly of your intention to cancel.

If a Direct Debit payment fails or is returned unpaid, members will normally be given 7 days to bring their account up to date.

Crystal Academy reserves the right to suspend attendance where membership fees remain outstanding after this period.

Where Pay As You Go attendance is available, classes are charged at £5 per class.

Pay As You Go places are subject to availability and do not provide the same guaranteed class place or discounted membership pricing as Direct Debit Membership.

Monthly memberships are payable by Direct Debit only.

Standing Order is not available as a payment option.

By maintaining an active Direct Debit Membership, members benefit from a guaranteed class place and discounted membership rates while spreading the annual cost of 37 weeks of tuition evenly across 12 manageable monthly payments.
